The Finishers

From How to get Released

Now that I’ve put in several hours playing Draw Something, I feel fully qualified to draw honest-to-goodness comics.

If I’m ever called to be the organist again I will accept, but will inform the Bishop that I will play the closing hymn at 5 after, come hell or high water.

*This does not necessarily indicate that there will, in fact, be a volume 2.

  1. Wow, you’re a good artist, Starfoxy! This vision you have of making people stick to the clock reminds me of the Academy Awards, when the music comes on and they just have to wrap up, whether they are done or not.

I sympathize with the feeling you’re expressing here. Sitting through an hour and ten minutes with 3 kids under 6 is really hard. And just adding on that extra 5 or 10 minutes when people keep talking makes it exponentially harder.

  2. My sister and I are constantly asking ourselves if we start singing the closing hymn, would other join in? Thus letting the droner know it’s time to stop. 🙂

    This comic is perfect!

  3. Does anyone else have sacrament meeting last? That closing song is a signal that we have survived another church block. I LOVE the closing song! And oh how I would love for our stake to move Sacrament Meeting to the beginning. Great cartoon!
