  1. A “trigger alert” warns readers who might have experienced trauma that what they are about to read could “trigger” an emotional response. And warns the general readership that something emotional charged is about to follow. In the case of this article rape/sexual abuse/physical abuse. You’ll see it frequently on boards dealing with abuse, eating issues, loss, etc.

  2. That story is horrifying. My heart is just sick right now. I feel helpless and angry and sad. How do men become so evil?

Adding to my frustration was the fact that General Conference had ended less than two weeks before the news about the garment design change came out in the Salt Lake Tribune. Over the last several years I've found that General Conference is less and less relevant to my day to day life. This whole thing with the garment change illustrates why.
