Sorry if this is off-topic–but what is a “Trigger alert”?
A “trigger alert” warns readers who might have experienced trauma that what they are about to read could “trigger” an emotional response. And warns the general readership that something emotional charged is about to follow. In the case of this article rape/sexual abuse/physical abuse. You’ll see it frequently on boards dealing with abuse, eating issues, loss, etc.
Got it. Thanks.
That story is horrifying. My heart is just sick right now. I feel helpless and angry and sad. How do men become so evil?
