I’m a little ambivalent about the movie, Meet the Mormons, and I’m afraid I don’t quite keep up on the latest pop stars like David Archuleta. But, someone put this song on their Facebook feed months ago, and I love it. This chorus sung by these children gets me every time:

It’s like a symphony just keep listening
And pretty soon you’ll start to figure out your part
Everyone plays a piece in their own melodies

In each one of us, oh, it’s glorious

  1. I like paying videos of sacred music for my primary class while they are coloring or working on a craft. I’ll definitely be using this one! I’m having choir-robe envy and wishing our primary had robes for special performances.

  2. The kids are great! I am ambivalent about the movie also. I liked some parts better than others. Actually, I’d have preferred the kids in their regular clothes. I shared this on FB. Thanks!

  3. I want to see this kind of thing in the Primary program this year!! Choir robes, stained glass, and all (I might be dreaming). It would be amazing.

  4. Thanks for the link, and I had not realized that was available for purchase.

But I found your description of David Archuleta as a “latest pop star” to be dismissive and inaccurate. It was clear back in 2008 that he was on American Idol. He took two years out from his career to serve a mission, one of the few Mormon celebs to do so. And he does an impressive amount of charity work with his talents.

    • I didn’t mean to sound dismissive, Naismith, but I can see how it would sound that way. I’m not big into pop music so it takes me a good decade to get caught up on the latest…David Archuleta is ahead of the curve for me 🙂
