  • Excerpts from Ruth May Fox’s Diary: “Feb. 8th Went to Sister E. Stevenson’s birthday party had a glorious time Sister B. Smith and Helen Whitney were present. Sister Sarah Phelps spoke in tongues with great power insomuch that the floor and the chairs and our limbs trembled.”
  • I love the site Post Secret — where people send in amazingly artful, anonymous postcards revealing secrets that have burdened them. Recognize this image? Also, this brief post on Not So Cookie Cutter has a bit of a “post secret” feel.
  • FMH spot-lighted this site –– Shape of a Woman — on their side-bar, and I think it’s was fascinating. Women are sending in pictures of their real, photo-shop-less bodies before and after childbirth. Now let us rejoice in stretch marks! Updated frequently.

  1. The Shape of a Woman site is amazing- and helped me realize I look just like every other mother out there, and they look like me. Some good self-acceptance lessons going on there. Thanks for the link.

  2. I only have four secrets. Some people know two of them.

My other secret is my weight and that’s between me and my doctor and then I never tell anybody how much money I don’t have.

And I sure wouldn’t send my weight to somebody on a post card.
