Announcement: Sunstone Northwest, November 13 and 14

Sunstone Northwest will be in two locations this year: November 13th in Bellevue, WA and November 14th in Portland, OR! Online registration and additional details are posted on Sunstone's web site. Mary Ellen, Sunstone Symposium organizer extraordinaire writes, "We're excited about the program--and being able to do Sunstone events in two cities in the Northwest this year. Hoping you, your friends, and friends of friends will join us for the symposium presentations and the great conversations that follow!" I'm just wishing I could see many of these panels and presentations!  LDS WAVE, Holly Welker, and Tracy McKay.  What fun!

Mormon Feminists at Sunstone

If you'll be in the Salt Lake City area during August 10-12, please consider spending some time at the Sunstone Symposium. The preliminary program can be found here. IMO, the lineup of this year's program looks quite good! Especially, please consider attending the following session on Thursday at 11:15: MORMON FEMINIST BLOGGERS: CAN BLOGGING HELP MORMON FEMINISM? Exponent Bloggers at Sunstone West

April 22, 5-6:30 pm, Claremont Graduate University Several of us (including jana, brookewill, caroline, dora and amelia) will be speaking in a panel discussion at Sunstone West next weekend. We would love to have you join us for this session! Take a look at the preliminary program and pre-register. Our session will be just before the dinner break. If you're planning to attend, let me know so we can arrange to eat together afterwards. 🙂 For those who can't attend, you can download an mp3 of the session afterwards.
What is Exponent II?

Exponent II provides Mormon feminist forums for women and gender minorities across the Mormon spectrum to share their diverse life experiences in an atmosphere of trust and acceptance. Through these exchanges, we strive to create a community to better understand and support each other.

Exponent II was founded in 1974 by a group of Mormon women in Cambridge, Massachusetts. These women were inspired by the original periodical, “The Woman’s Exponent,” to create a forum “posed on the dual platforms of Mormonism and Feminism.”

For 50+ years, Exponent II has shared women’s voices in its quarterly magazine, and members of the community have convened at an annual retreat. Our reach has expanded as technology has advanced: the blog, founded in January 2006, has reached millions. As we look to the future, we are focused on growth and building a more inclusive community.
