I have had the opportunity to poll the Exponent community a few times now and I’ve had a lot of fun finding out what Mormon feminists (and the others who visit our site) think about a variety of issues.
- I wondered what other Exponent readers thought of an unusual debate question asked of Michelle Bachmann; More than half of our readers thought she had it coming.
- I wondered if other readers would like to see daycare offered during Sacrament meeting; About two-thirds wanted to keep kids in the chapel for the meeting. (Although, the poll was actually pretty evenly split between those supporting daycare and those opposed until other Mormon websites linked to the poll and new readers started voting.)
- I wondered if my ward was the only one that still almost always gives the closing speaker spot to a male speaker; Nope, unfortunately, about 3/4 of our readers reported that their wards also do this.
Have you ever thought, “I wonder what other Exponent readers think about [fill in the blank].”
Now is your chance to satisfy your curiosity. We are going to start posting poll questions suggested by our readers about once every month. Just write a comment telling us what you’re wondering about in the comments section. You may see us post a poll based on your musings.
Don’t worry about perfectly wording your question as a poll question–we can take care of that. Also, if you want to submit your idea anonymously, go ahead and use “anonymous” as your name instead of your usual moniker.
Can’t wait to see your ideas. Let’s get those questions answered!
