A Mormon woman came in second place in the Boston marathon. It was only the second time she’d ever run a marathon. My husband and I used her and this accomplishment as an example in Family Home Evening- how it is great to pursue things we love, that first place isn’t always the best, that good men sit on the sidelines and cheer our accomplishments, and the process and humility after such an accomplishment are key to true success. Plus, women are awesome.
