The Exponent II Board is pleased to announce that our keynote speaker at this year’s retreat will be Fatimah Salleh.
Rev. Dr. Fatimah Salleh was born in Brooklyn, NY. Her mother is Puerto Rican and Malaysian and her father is African-American. She was raised as a Muslim until she joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 15. While wrestling with her own faith journey, Dr. Salleh sought some answers at Duke Divinity School and graduated with her Masters in Divinity in 2016. Prior, in 2012, she earned her PhD in Mass Communication from UNC-Chapel Hill. She is the mother of four children: Micah, Xavier, Ronin and Zora Grace. She has been married to her husband, Eric, for 16 years. Fatimah speaks and writes on faith, social justice, and the intersection of her faith traditions.
